Let's study Past Continuous Tense. I hope you are easy to understand it.
S + be (was, were) + V-ing + O
Example:
Positive
I was drinking a cup of coffee.
You were drinking a cup of coffee.
We were drinking a cup of coffee.
They were drinking a cup of coffee.
He was drinking a cup of coffee.
She was drinking a cup of coffee.
Guntur was drinking a cup of coffee.
Father was drinking a cup of coffee.
He and she were drinking a cup of coffee.
Father and Guntur were drinking a cup of coffee.
S + be (was, were) + not + V-ing + O
Negative
I was not drinking a cup of coffee.
You were not drinking a cup of coffee.
We were not drinking a cup of coffee.
They were not drinking a cup of coffee.
He was not drinking a cup of coffee.
She was not drinking a cup of coffee.
Guntur was not drinking a cup of coffee.
