Simple Past Tense

Dear all,
How are you getting on now?
I hope you are in the best condition in your life?
Let's study English anymore. This chance, we will study about Simple Past Tense. Simple Past Tense is the form of sentence which is used to express past activity that we have done.

1. Using Verb
a. Positive
S + Verb Past + O
or
S + V2 + O
Example:
I went to Semarang.
You kissed your son.
He loved Tina.

b. Negative
S + did not + V infinitive + O
or
S + did not + V1 + O

Example:
I did not go to Semarang.
You did not kiss your son.
He did not love Tina.

2. Using To Be
S + be (was, were) + Complement

Example:
I was happy.
You were a student.
He was at the market.


Exercise
Translate into English!
1. Satpam itu menjaga kantor tadi malam.
2. Ibu menggantung handuk di kamar mandi kemarin pagi.
3. Mekanik itu memperbaiki dua mobil minggu lalu.
4. Para siswa menyelesaikan PR hari Senin lalu.
5. Pak Bimbim mengajar fisika tahun lalu.
6. Paman merusak sepeda motor kemarin pagi.
7. Saya melupakan kamu tadi malam.
8. Para petani belajar bahasa Jawa bulan lalu.
9. Kakek memulai pertandingan sepak bola kemarin sore.
10. Kami menikmati nasi goreng hari Sabtu yang lalu.
