Langkahnya:
  1. Kata yang serupa, misalnya: match, matchmaker, matchbox.
  2. Mempunyai awalan/akhiran yang sama, misalnya: unregistered, unknown, talkless, speakless.
Dan masih banyak lagi. Kali lain, akan saya share di sini.

Buy iPhone 4

Hi, my students.

I think you know iPhone 4. It is new technology.
Check the article of this below!

The iPhone 4 is a touchscreen smartphone developed by Apple. It is the fourth generation of iPhone, and successor to the iPhone 3GS. It is particularly marketed for video calling (marketed by Apple as FaceTime), consumption of media such as books and periodicals, movies, music, and games, and for general web and e-mail access. It was announced on June 7, 2010, at the WWDC 2010 held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco,[6] and was released on June 24, 2010, in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.
The iPhone 4 runs Apple's iOS operating system, the same operating system as used on previous iPhones, the iPad, and the iPod Touch. It is primarily controlled by a user's fingertips on the multi-touch display, which is sensitive to fingertip contact.
The most noticeable difference between the iPhone 4 and its predecessors is the new design, which incorporates an uninsulated stainless steel frame that acts as the device's antenna. The internal components of the device are situated between two panels of chemically strengthened aluminosilicate glass.[7] It has an Apple A4 processor and 512 MB of eDRAM, twice that of its predecessor and four times that of the original iPhone. Its 3.5-inch (89 mm) LED backlit liquid crystal display with a 960×640 pixel resolution is marketed as the "Retina Display".
The latest operating system release is iOS 4.3.3 (for GSM) / 4.2.8 (for CDMA)

SBY's English speeches illegal: Mahfud

This news is from JakartaPost.com

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has broken his own rule by delivering official speeches in English, Constitutional Court chief Mahfud MD said on Thursday.

Yudhoyono's fondness for using English instead of Indonesian in his speeches at various national and international events has been highlighted by the media.

In several occasions such as the Asian Summit and the Non Aligned Movement conference, Yudhoyono entertained audiences with his fluency in English.

Law No 24/2009 stipulates that Indonesian was compulsory for the president, vice president and state officials in official speeches.
Mahfud pointed out that it was not only the Constitution that the President violated, but also his own decree.

"A presidential regulation says that Indonesian should be spoken at international meetings," Mahfud said.

Idiom of the day: worth your while

Meaning: If something is worth your while, the benefits to you of doing it are greater than the value of the time or effort that it requires.

For example:
  • It's not worth my while doing this job. It takes me two hours to get there and two hours to get home, and it doesn't even pay very well.
  • Bill: "How can it be worth your while building a website if you won't be making money from it?" John: "Why does something have to be about making money to be worth one's while?"
Note: You can also say "worth my while", "worth his while", "worth her while", "worth their while", "worth our while", and so on.

I Want to Speak English

Hi everybody,

Nice to see you again here. I am very happy to share my English to you.
Some days ago my students asked me.

Student: "Mr. Darwoto, how can you speak English?"
Mr. Darwoto: "Just say it."
Student: "I don't understand what you mean."
Mr. Darwoto: "Just say what I want to say. I don't think the grammar deeply. Say and say.
Student: "I want to say, but I don't know the English word."
Mr. Darwoto: "Vocabulary is very important in speaking. If we don't have many vocabularies, we cannot speak."
Student: "I see. How do you master many vocabularies?"
Mr. Darwoto: " I made a target. One day, five words. How about you"
Student: "I didn't do it yet."
Mr. Darwoto: "Practice it, first. You can speak English if you have many English vocabularies.
Student: Thank you very much, sir. You're my best teacher."
Mr. Darwoto: Don't mention it.

Preference (like ... better than ...)

Halo semuanya.

Yang fokus pada penggunaan "like ... better than ...)
Mari kita mulai.

Pertama, mari kita kenali pola kalimatnya.

S + like + Noun/Verb-ing + better than + Noun/Verb-ing.

Secara umum seperti yang Anda lihat di atas.

Untuk lebih jelasnya perhatikan contoh-contoh di bawah ini beserta terjemahannya dalam bahasa Indonesia.

I like English better than Mathematics.
Saya lebih suka bahasa Inggris daripada matematika.

You like mango better than starfruit.
Kamu lebih suka mangga daripada belimbing.

We like playing football better than basket ball.
Kami lebih suka bermain sepak bola daripada basket.

Thank you so much,
Your English Teacher,

Be Able To

be able to

"be" adalah is, am, are, was, were.

I can --> I am able to
You can --> You are able to
We can --> We are able to
They can --> They are able to
He can --> He is able to
She can --> She is able to
Indah can --> Indah is able to
My father can --> My father is able to
Your mother can --> Your mother is able to

"Be able to" artinya sama dengan "can", yaitu "bisa/dapat".
Jadi saat kita menggunakan "can" untuk menyatakan kemampuan, kita boleh menggunakan "be able to" untuk menggantikan "can" yang artinya sama.

Contoh:
You can play a piano.

menjadi

You are able to play a piano.

Untuk lebih jelasnya Anda bisa melihat perubahan dari "can" menjadi "be able to".

I can swim. - I am able to swim.
You can kill a cat. - You are able to kill a cat.
We can speak Javanese. - We are able to speak Javanese.
They can fix the broken car. - They are able to fix the broken car.
He can repair my computer. - He is able to repair my computer.
She can sing Chinese song. - She is able to sing Chinese song.

Thank you so much,
Your English Teacher,

Darwoto, S.Pd.

Ability (Can)

Can boleh diartikan "bisa" atau "dapat".

S + can + Verb 1 / infinitive + Complement

I can swim.
/ai ken swim/
Saya bisa berenang.

I cannot swim.
/ai kenot swim/
Saya tidak bisa berenang.

Can I swim?
/ken ai swim/
Bisakah saya berenang?

You can kill a mouse.
/yu ken kil e maos/
Kamu bisa membunuh seekor tikus.

You cannot kill a mouse.
/yu kenot kil e maos/
Kamu tidak bisa membunuh seekor tikus.

Can you kill a mouse?
/ken yu kil e maos/
Dapatkah kamu membunuh seekor tikus?

What can you do?
/wot ken yu du/
Apa yang bisa kamu lakukan?

Who can help me?
/hu ken helep mi/
Siapa yang bisa membantuku?

Where can you put this one?
/wer ken yu put dis wan/
Dimana kamu bisa meletakkan yang satu ini?
